Nice to work with pro's … they will up your game and force you to be a better photographer. Let's try this again and not lock the post like an idiot…… Reshared post from +Brent Burzycki Friday Night Reading Suggestions So I never recommend books but I just got done reading and (Listening to) some great books – They are all Sci-Fi related and all very well written and just fun….so I thought I would share as I know many here love Sci-Fi and reading… #1) The Lost Fleet Series and now Beyond the Frontier – A 10 book series 85hrs on Audible – Highly recomended for those that like great space sci-fi with massive fleet battles.Link to more info: http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/55547.Jack_Campbell #2) The Skyway Series by John DeChancie – this could easily be my favorite series of all time. http://www.goodreads.com/series/56404-skyway  I have read them at least 4 times – very hard to find as its out of print but totally worth the effort. Audible really needs to preserve these books via Audio formats and get someone to read them….. #3) The Gibraltar Series from Michael McCollum (Earth, Sun, Stars)http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/555731.Michael_McCollum If you have a passion for Sci-Fi – I would find the time to read them all.. This is a great quick panel for your notification bar in android ICS
Reshared post from +MoreQuicklyPanel official page MoreQuicklyPanel v.1.7.1.0 released. v.1.7.1.0:Improved:– Added the support of 1% increments battery level on Motorola devices.– Added the option to select HIGH or MAX notification priority. (Jelly Bean only) Now shows 1% increments even on most Motorola devices. Please try the option '1% increments on Motorola'. Previous version set the notification priority (the new feature of Jelly Bean ) for 'MAX'. New version sets it for 'HIGH' according to the guideline. Normally the priority 'HIGH' is sufficient. You can set it for 'MAX' by the option 'MAX priority'. I know that my Jelly Bean support is not enough. Please wait for future updates. Thanks! Well if you have not seen the show on Adult Swim…(you should) and you like Metal……
In album Well if you have not seen the show on Adult Swim…(you should) and you like Metal… and your a Guitarist, then this contest is for you… PS: the show is great because it's absolutely nuts…. you can also check out www.dethklok.org (Since I run it) for more info….  Reshared post from +Dethklok Win the Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer! For fierce riffs, eviscerating tones, and all-out metal mayhem, there’s no one heavier than Dethklok… or, in the imaginations of their creators, at least. As the resident death metal merchants on Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse, Dethklok epitomizes no-hold-barred rock excess; but as much as the band members on the TV show are fictional, the music itself is very real. As performed by Brendon Small in the studio, who also does the voice for Dethklok’s Gibson Explorer-wielding lead guitarist Skwisgaar Skwigelf, the guitar playing behind this animated phenomenon is powerful and compelling, and has garnered enough fans to warrant two actual album releases—The Dethalbum(2007) and Dethalbum II (2009)—and a series of live tours, with Small and supporting musicians playing live, accompanying animated characters on the big screen. In honor of this virtual/actual sensation, Gibson USA introduces the Dethklok "Thunderhorse" Explorer, a top-flight metal guitar that […]

Does this qualify for #sciencesunday
Does this qualify for #sciencesunday   Buy this and you can enforce your own Drunk test at your own front door Whether you know it or not, geeks have an intimate association with the word "labrys." It's Greek for "double-headed axe" (a thing in and of itself well loved and lauded by geek-kind) and gave rise to the term "labyrinth." We are all guilty of wandering through many labyrinths – some in the guise of dungeons (with and without dragons), some surrounded by scrolling green "computer symbols," and some through the awkward social interactions of everyday life (especially those with members of the opposite sex). And speaking of the opposite sex, pretend for a moment that you actually get one to come over to your "labyrinth of love" – how do you stop them from leaving? Piece of cake with the Defendius Labyrinth Security Lock. This innovative lock is designed by Art Lebedev Studio… responsible for the amazing Optimus Maximus keyboard with a tiny screen on each key. Constructed of 100% titanium alloy, nothing less than a level forty-two spell of ultimate cutting will break the Defendius lock open. Really, just look at it: no one is getting out easily. […]

In Memory of Ernest Borgnine – My childhood would not have been full of top secret government stealth helcopters with Turbo Thrusters made by "the Firm" #ernestborgnine   #airwolf   http://youtu.be/ezDIPDVH-IE RIP: Dominic Santini Airwolf is an American television series that ran from 1984 until 1987. The program centers on a high-tech military helicopter, code named Airwolf, and its crew as they undertake various missions, many involving espionage, with a Cold War theme. Dominic Santini is a fictional character on the U.S. television series Airwolf, which ran from 1984 to 1987. Veteran actor Ernest Borgnine portrayed the character during the series' first three seasons. Santini is of Italian-American descent, and was born and raised on the fictional Caribbean Island nation of San Remo. His wife Lila, from whom Santini had been long estranged, was murdered by San Remo's criminal element during the Season Two Airwolf episode "Sins of the Past." Dominic and Lila had a daughter, Sally Ann, but Sally Ann died of a drug overdose shortly before the beginning of the same episode. Santini's other known relatives include his younger brother Tony Santini and Tony's daughter (Dominic's niece) Jo Santini, who becomes an important supporting character on the series during […]

So this is easily one of the best discussions I have yet seen about the need for the community to be more involved in the SUL (Yes it's another Suggested User list post) but this one is different and you should take the time to read it with an open mind. I have my opinions on good and bad but really they are not important if you are making friends here as you do in real life.  Making friends is not easy, it takes work, G+ is not Twitter or Facebook where most relationships are shallow, drones or simply spammers. I make friends here with now over a year of investment of time and effort, that is more than I spend on non online "real" friends…. Many of the people I follow I know or at least feel like I know offline….and if I met them for the first time at a Photowalk etc I think our conversations would just continue from where we left off online.. There is nothing more powerful than a social platform where you can easily share ideas and get real feedback, many overlook that praise thou nice is not as important to growing in life […]
