Car Detailing – The pain we all know, well some of us know, well some of us torture ourselves with for the good of the clean vehicle. I recently got a new vehicle and have swore to myself that this time would be different so a week ago I went on a journey to become a better vehicle detailer with the use of youtube and reviews and hours of cramming info into my brain. First if you ever thought there was a topic more controversial then you have not met car detailers yet. Also with the slew of products available there are just as many opinions. In the end to narrow down 3 million videos from everyone from manufacturers to newbies I have found the following to be true. Clean cars are cool and seem to go faster. Aside from that I have found that there are 200 ways to wash a car, but really the best way it seems is the two bucket method or if your into pure insanity go to Ammo NYC and check out his video that covers all the steps but in the end https://youtu.be/uWmtLSQYbys (Overkill for me but a ton of great tips. Just a quick couple photos on how to replace the cap on your RRS ball head if it happens to show up with the cap broken. No idea how but RRS support was very good like usual and sent a replacement. It simply pops out and the new one can go in its place
I guess this has been going on for some time but for those that do not know and have an older Black Rapid Strap you can upgrade your existing strap (well turn it in for a discount on the latest version) http://www.blackrapid.com/tradein-program I assume this is due to issues they had with the old style latches backing off. That is all the issues I can find with what is considered a great strap overall. I will be reviewing the new one vs. two other straps I have based on my eternal search for the perfect camera strap setup.
Having met many of the devs for G+ a thank you for all the work and trying to make a cool community.
If the general public had a clue what is sacrificed to keep them safe daily but especially in times like we have right now they would not be able to comprehend what is done for them and what is risked for them. Everything in CA is being mobilized to fight these fires and stop looting and keep the public safe. While you might not hear about all of this on the news because the news sucks at reporting, you should know that if it has wheels and is drivable there is probably someone in it right now heading toward these incidents. It is highly suggested to donate to these efforts. The Red Cross is a good start. https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation – You can select the CA Wildfires as your donation. You can also help by housing friends from those evacuation zones. Do not drive to those places to try to help as in most cases you will be turned away or will be interfering with rescue and fire fighting efforts. Most of these areas have limited access and little to no cell phone coverage at this time. Do not become part of the problem. I would prepare for the long haul on […]
