Worth a reshare and worth checking out the links to the photos that +Philip Plait picked for best photos of the year… Reshared post from +Rosa Golijan "The Universe is beautiful. Which is interesting. It doesn’t have to be; it could be all colorless and weird and lumpy. Instead, it’s bursting with color, sculpted by vast forces, molded into fantastic shapes that please our eyes and delight our brains — especially once we understand what we’re seeing." +Philip Plait — the guy behind the Bad Astronomy blog — picked out what he believes are the "Best Astronomy Images of 2012." This is my favorite of the ones he choose. In album how I process my images… well here is a quick breakdown.. I tend to just do it this way.. it works for me.. many might think it is not correct.. but as I recall in many conversations with many photographers – it is not as much how you get there.. as long as you get there…..wherever there is for you…. This was shot in 2004 – one of my first ever glamour style shoots.. it is not an amazing image, but it shows workflow and how with some photoshop knowledge, some presets and plugins and some experimentation you can make cool looking images.. I could teach just about anyone how to do these steps in about an hour.. how you use the steps in a creative fashion is key to the results you might think you want….but none of the steps in these photos were anything super tricky … I sort of want to really learn the super tricky photoshop stuff but I never seem to have the time to dedicate to it that it will require… so experimentation is where I stand at the moment… This entire editing process took no more than 10-15 minutes resulting in two […]

This is the world's smallest digital camera, measuring just over one inch in all dimensions and weighing only half an ounce. Reminiscent of devices employed by Cold War-era operatives for intelligence gathering, the camera appears to require Lilliputian agility, yet its one-button operation provides easy picture taking. Providing automatic focus, it uses a 2 MP image sensor that takes still images at 1600 x 1200 resolution and captures video at 30 fps at 640 x 480 resolution. Images are taken as JPEGs and videos as AVIs, both saved onto an included 2 GB microSD card (supports up to 32 GB cards). Images and video can be viewed when connecting it to a computer running Windows 7, XP, or Vista using the included USB 2.0 cable. Rechargeable battery provides up to 30 minutes of operation from a one-hour charge via USB. Includes wrist lanyard. 1 1/8" L x 1" W x 1 1/16" D. (1/2 oz.) Images: Images are recorded in a standard Jpeg format. The KMPlayer included with the camera is only for video editing.
