From GraphPaperPress.com Info from their site about the new theme: For years there’s been only one way to sell stock photography: Do business with a large, corporate stock photography company. Photographers had no choice but to be at the mercy of a company’s shifting rules and regulations. We knew there had to be a better way. So, we set out to build an alternative to the traditional “top-down” stock photography business. We made changes that will have radical results. Brace yourself. Run It Like A Boss Finally you call the shots. Our new WordPress theme, Stock Photography, turns your web site into a stock photography business. Manage your portfolio, blog and stock photography business all from one site. This streamlined approach will save you tons of time; spend it vacationing on an exotic island like the boss that you are. Say My Name For years you’ve been an anonymous cog helping stock photo corporations get bigger and bigger. That ends today. Now, you own the business and the brand. Design it and name it what you want. Build yourself some much-deserved recognition. People will be buying your images and shouting your name from the rooftops in no time. Be Internet […]

In album Wear it on your wrist – no chest harness or other sensors needed. Continuous heart rate monitoring is interesting for both understanding health better and also for tracking. This unit uses bluetooth to connect to a smart phone etc. (not all so be warned) It senses the volume of blood under your skin… go figure.. Sadly none of these devices do it all.. One device that does BP, Heart Rate, BMI, and Pedometer all built into one would be a great solution.. but then you would have a tri-corder. +Fitbit is a great solution for Steps, Stairs, and Calorie burned estimatesThis device is interesting for HR tracking and knowledgeSadly no BP device is available that is not bulky I know +Sharon Strandskov has tried a lot of these devices and is in way better shape than me.. Have you used one of these yet? #mioglobal #mioalpha This post has been reshared 1 times on Google+ View this post on Google+

Question for all – How do you deal with haze when its all you have to deal with? We get haze here in the SF Bay Area all the time.. what are your methods for dealing with Haze and overcast? For those that only take photos of one person at a time – it is always more interesting and in some cases much more difficult to shoot two people together. THe issues range from them hating each other to them clicking perfectly. Direction in a shoot is much more fluid or way too hard to keep under control as everyone thinks they have a better idea and in turn nothing looks right. My weekend tip… branch out and push yourself to shoot out of your comfort zone …. you might be very happy with what you get… or if you do hate it at least you have pushed yourself to better understand a in turn learn something…. Not all learning needs to be a positive experience… This post has been reshared 1 times on Google+ View this post on Google+

I am not a petition signer – but this one I do agree with for many reasons. Mainly the issue of cutting programs like this based on our government officials not properly knowing how to spend our money. Space is calling my name…………………………………………… The Rose The spinning vortex of Saturn's north polar storm resembles a deep red rose of giant proportions surrounded by green foliage in this false-color image from NASA's Cassini spacecraft. Measurements have sized the eye at a staggering 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) across with cloud speeds as fast as 330 miles per hour (150 meters per second). This image is among the first sunlit views of Saturn's north pole captured by Cassini's imaging cameras. When the spacecraft arrived in the Saturnian system in 2004, it was northern winter and the north pole was in darkness. Saturn's north pole was last imaged under sunlight by NASA's Voyager 2 in 1981; however, the observation geometry did not allow for detailed views of the poles. Consequently, it is not known how long this newly discovered north-polar hurricane has been active. The images were taken with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on Nov. 27, 2012, using a combination of spectral filters sensitive to wavelengths of near-infrared light. The images filtered at 890 nanometers are projected as blue. The images filtered at 728 nanometers are projected as green, and images filtered at 752 nanometers are projected as red. In this […]
Once again, MTM exerts its leadership in tactical watch innovation. The newest in its line of tactical / technical models is the Black RAD Radiation Detection Watch. The MTM Black RAD tactical watch includes a counter for detecting harmful ionizing radiation The Black RAD's integrated Geiger-Müller tube measures single-dose gamma ray levels, as well as cumulative exposure. The ultra- sensitive detector tracks dose equivalents – from 0.0001 to 9999 millisieverts (mSv), and the dose equivalent rate up to 4000 microsieverts per hour (μSv/h). Users can set their maximum radiation threshold, up to 9999 mSv, and an alarm will sound when this level (user preset) has been reached. Radiation levels are displayed graphically and can also be shown in the digital display, which can be switched between dose equivalent rate, accumulated dose, and the time. The time is shown via tritium illuminated analog hour, minute and second hands. The digital display is EL backlit. The MTM Black RAD is water resistant to 330’ and powered by a lithium battery. The case is titanium and the rugged nylon band option fits wrists up to 9 inches in circumference. The RAD is a unique technical instrument with a limited edition total of 1ooo […]
KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS! No Idea who Wade is – but he is correct… https://www.facebook.com/wbdax92 It doesn't matter if you're going the speed limit. You may feel like you're doing the right thing by slowing a speeder down, or you may feel it's your RIGHT to drive in any lane you 'darn well please.' You're not. It's not.And you ARE breaking the law. Here's how it is DESIGNED to work:You're in what you think is just like any other lane except that it's 'fast'. One of us approaches you from behind at 74mph (and you look down to see you're going 67mph and you switch to your smug 'justified' face because the sign says 65). While rather close in proximity, the driver begs you to move over. Oh, how you should. But you don't. The driver tries to be patient and now cars start lining up behind both of you. There's a quick flash of the brights, and if you look up from your phone you either move over, or your ego decides that you'll be stubborn (and in some cases actually slow down ON PURPOSE). In most cases you don't even notice the signal but you just start complaining […]
