Well last night was a success in my opinion

Well last night was a success in my opinion. Joined by 10 shooters, +mark daughn +Frederick Van Johnson and +Luana Lani as the model…

Everyone came away knowing much more than they came in with and hopfully we all pushed them out of their comfort level a bit to push them all including myself to a slightly higher level with their photography.

Watch for more workshops coming in the future. Watch the +TWiP and +Mark Daughn Glamour Workshops pages for more info.

This shot was the only one I grabbed during the evening as the dude that assists, students come first..and time was very shot, but this also shows me that I need to uninstall and reinstall Lightroom and Photoshop because of incredibly strange color casting issues upon export of images from lightroom…. so very strange…

Last night +mark daughn taught us all that sometime you just have to not follow the rules about how to light a model…. and sometimes lighting for mood can make you stand out from the crowd.

I have to agree with that philosophy…..

    +Jerry Kiesewetter +Randy Jay Braun thanks…

I guess I should add that I shot this with the ambient light from the modeling light and this was not a shot actually using the strobes we spent time setting up…

So it's always worth taking a few extra frames that go above and beyond your lighting setup you had in mind…

Great shot, Brent – Luana casts a graceful figure. You do love shooting in the shadows. I can see why you were drawn to Mark's work.
