you cannot go to airshows and not expect to ever see tragedy or record the last perfect execution of the stunt that ended up taking a performers life.
This will be the last photo I get to take of this plane and this pilot based on today's crash at Travis AFB and the Thunder over Solano airshow.
The details were minimal at best – searching here for #thunderoversolano and #travisAFB brought up a few that witnessed the crash but the show was cancelled post crash and people were asked to leave.
It appears the victim was: Eddie Andreini from www.eddieandreiniairshows.com
A huger loss for the air show community.
Hopefully he like many others I have talked to that fly for a living and for the fans died doing the one thing he loved and would have had it no other way.
RIP

Upside-down start or landing?
+Stefan Strobl from what I have been told – he was performing this stunt above – I took this shot yesterday at the show – then the plane plowed into the ground…
The wind today and yesterday was 35-40mph on the airfield.. I can only imagine that was a contributor to the crash.
+Brent Burzycki , sorry to hear that. Thought the plane was a little low for comfort, in your picture! Winds explain a lot!
This is a stunt he does at all the shows…. I think nature might have had other intentions today…
+Brent Burzycki , I would not count Nature out!
We go when it's our time…when we have accomplished what he set out for us…yes, it is good that he left and went back home while doing what he loved. Great shot.
RIP
It's always windy here… 🙁
I work in FF….. But yesterday and today were 35 to 40mph….it was extra windy… But that is why Travis AFB is located there…
True. Having a pool here did me no good as a child, nor now. The wind…
How very sad.
