    I don't like to sound like some career doubter but I'm tempted to say "Photoshop". On the other hand, I'm finding something that's using A-10s for testing something called Persistent Close Air Support (PCAS). This might be part of that effort.

    Agreed. Pretty sure if they wanted to remote or "drone" an a-10, they'd just kit it, not a crazy redesign like this would imply. Check out the QF-4 program. They just instrument an existing platform and leave the pilot on the ground. That 'simple'.
