I need to think up a theme for Saturdays that relates to beautiful women that actually want their photos taken… to offset those that feel we photographers are just exploiting them….. so many negative comments on shots I have seen where some just do not understand the world and the people in it…

#sexy   #sexywomen   #sexygirls   #glamourphotography   #glamour   #strongwomenrock

Hmm maybe #sexysaturday

PS: I take no responsibility for the #'s above – I can only imagine what those searches will reveal… I have found many strange and interesting things by doing random searches here on G+

    … lol
I had a thought about the "beautiful women in the photo" earlier tonight – it was probably the type that you mention here, haha!

Some photos are lovely but I sometimes feel that many of the men who basically only shoot women get a lot of credit (1pluses) almost regardless of the quality of the photo. It feels like the plus button is clicked on automatically everything just because there is a lot of naked, young skin in it and not because the image is particularly interesting in itself or well performed …. On the other hand I know that just bare skin is always interesting for many men – so – maybe your hashtag should be ## Hey,BareSkinHere, haha :)

+Christopher Woo thats not bad…… +Lena Björndahl I might be one that does not get all those + 1's – I try to give a bit of context and background vs. just posting images for posting sake.. actually I have found in some cases less and less  interest in images like the one above here.. it might becase people think they suck? or simply they are not interested enough to give a + 1 – I give + 1's quite a bit – try to interact with others, respond to requests etc…

I also see very interesting trends on +500px it seems some have enough time to look but not vote… I am not sure I get that…unless they are looking at images and those are counted even thou you do not have site access and thus cannot vote… if I have interest in a photo here and even remotely like it I will + 1 it based on me liking it..and to also help to fuel that photographers continued interest in shooting more….

I'm very parsimonious with my +1's. I prefer to comment instead. I wish the only way you could hand out +1s was to earn them by commenting/posting.

+Christopher Woo oops – I just + 1ed that post.. but that would be interesting you get 5 + 1's for every comment.. like Gcoin…….

  6. Christopher Woo 12 Aug 2012 Reply

Oh, I'm quite alright with getting +1s. 😉

i think the bad comments are from frustrated lesbians.

I do the opposite, +Christopher Woo I give +1 when I like a photo or situation it portraits but less comments but I do comment when needed.
Also – I am very limited due to the fact that English is not my language. I would love a glossary with 20-30 sentences that express in a modern way that something is beautiful, amazing, impressive and great fun – in "other words" because it gets pretty damn boring to just use the above over and over again, haha!

Your English seems better than mine….

The best advice I can give in that regard is stating specifically what you like about an image. That helps change things up without worrying about a limited vocabulary. You can also comment in your native tongue – Google Translate works both directions. 😀

  11. Great post +Brent Burzycki.

Thanks +Frederick Van Johnson had an interesting discussion about time vs. expected outcome with photography…and how limited time and dedication to a shoot can hold one back as an amateur photographer…and then knowing or better understanding when to pull the trigger to make more time for a hobby to then expand or become better at the hobby…it is quite possibly the biggest issue most of us face in balancing life and hobby etc….might be a good show topic…

  13. I think that would make a great topic for the show. I did an interview with Sue Bryce today and talked at length about her process, history, etc. She had some really inspiring things to say about #Glamour photography. Especially about how she manages time expenditure.  http://www.inbedwithsue.com/before-after/

+Frederick Van Johnson those are some great transformations on her site…..

  15. You should watch her free 5-day +creativeLIVE workshop starting August 27th at 9am PT. From the sounds of the interview I did with her, it'll be life-changing.

+Frederick Van Johnson I have tried to catch those before… and ended up having to pay because I cannot set aside that much time… sadly I think it will be telling me the one thing I really know but will not admit.. I need a killer MUA and to dedicate real time to get the results I want

  17. Yep, likely. But then… you spent all that loot on a great camera, learning how to shoot, etc. Why not go the extra mile with a good MUA? (MUA = "Make-Up Artist" for those who don't know)

  18. Brent Burzycki 12 Aug 2012 Reply

I know why I do not….money and time…more time thou…which is more or basically all my issue…and items I need to convince myself that both the use of an mua and dedicating more time will actually make it all better…I know it will but still need to force myself to do it once to prove it needs to become part of what I do on every shoot…
