Just a quick note – Great show on TWITPhoto with +Catherine Hall the explanations on Metering and the tips and tricks to make the light meter not an evil device are spot on… thank you…

It is great to see pro's dedicated to the use of the meter and not reliance on the histogram….

Do you feel you are so dedicated to the use of the meter based on years of studio work and starting early with the use of the meter with studio lighting?

Do you feel that many these days rely on the histogram simply based on the use of smaller flashes and reliance on the camera to meter the scene using TTL etc?

I will agree… My curiosity is if Catherine will be interviewing some non full time pros to also get their persepctive of what many of us do weekly…. As in still try to make great photos just not for money…. I think that might inspire piles of people to take their photography to the next step…..

    +Brent Burzycki Hi,
I feel dedicated to the meter because for "me" it's a simple fact of life that you need it to get correct exposures. To be honest I really don't get the people that claim that you can get spot on exposures using the histogram or the back of the camera. It's like going into the operating room and seeing no hart machine, when you ask them "why no heart machine" they say "Oh we have some one checking your pulse constantly" 😀
