Disaster Preparedness – Are you prepared?

I am far from a doomsday prepper – but I also know that if an incident or situation happens we all should be prepared to leave our home or work and be ready for anything – or at least be able to survive for a day or two.

These are an interesting way of packaging everything you need into one backpack based system you can grab and go..

Just as an interesting note.. even when the Asiana Flight crashed people had time to grab bags and leave… so if you make your items accessible and ready they could save your life.

Since they list contents, I wonder if one could build one cheaper than what they sell these for. I know I have at least 2 backpacks that I could use to make a kit.

Possibly… But people never do… Sometimes it's cheaper to grab a kit than take the time to put it together… There are also things I would add to this bag…

I know I'd add my ceramic water filter I use for camping, plus something else to filter junk from water. Plus some dehydrated food packs.

I would also add to the first aid kid and probably add something related to self defense…
