– As a photographer this is a shot I would love to have taken for so many reasons there is not enough space here to talk about it… I had not seen this image before but had seen other "Blue Marble" Images…
This image was taken all in one shot – from a distance of 36,000 kilometres above the surface. The image was taken by the Electro-L, Russia's latest weather satellite, and unlike other images of our planet, it was taken in one single shot, at a massive resolution of 121million megapixels.
Epic! Full credit and thanks to those that produce images like this for us mere earthlings to be reminded how cool our planet truly is….

Very cool!
Just to nitpick a little: isn't the resolution just 121 megapixels (eg. 121 million pixels), not 121 million megapixels? 🙂
Well yes… But I still want a 121mp Camera and a spaceship… That text came from a daily UK article I found it in, so I am not sure, time for more research
I'd be fine with just the spaceship and let other people do the photographing 🙂
I call shotgun, +Antti Urpelainen !
Absolutely incredible! I would have to agree with you +Brent Burzycki , I wish "I" could had taken this picture.
