+Kurt Lusmays NOT the first stealth. Ever hear of the U-2? The SR-71? Or even the NorthropGrumman "Flying Wing"? All of which had SOME degree of stealth capabilities. From radar-absorbant paint, to extreme low radar- cross sections, to ability to fly above radar sites (of the time)!
+Kurt Lusmays do your research, if you don't believe me. But the SR-71 was used in Viet Nam during the late '60s. The U-2 was used in the early '70s (and still is being used). And the Northrop "Flying Wing" was designed and flown in the late '40s/early '50s.
+Shadow Rider Interestingly enough, the Wright Brothers didn't invent the airplane either. They just happened to beat the guy to the patent office. The Smithsonian didn't even recognize the Wright's as the inventors of the airplane till about two decades into the 20th century.
This was a attack aircraft not a fighter . The plane had no defensive weapons . Stealth was its only defense, but generals in the Pentagon wanted it designated as F-117 not A-117 .
+Danny Quizon that is correct. Leonardo DaVinci actually invented the airplane, although his design WAS more of a glider. However….it opened the door for powered flight.
+Shadow Rider Yeah that Leonardo dude was not human. The things he thought of or invented or drew out plan's for in that day and age was mind-boggling. Planes, helicopters, tanks, and I even think a type of Robot. The guy had to be from another planet. Tesla was the other Alien in history. Just mind blowing freaks.
+Shadow Rider Yeah but to come up with the things he did, with absolutely nothing to go off of is what's Alien. Then 100's of years later civilization is using these ideas and inventions. His knowledge is unmatched in history. He was dissecting corpses and drawing up the human body to a tee. Then to top it off he's a world class painter. Not to mention he wrote back ward's in some Alien code or something. The dude was not human.
I got to see it up close at an airshow at NAS Jax in late 89 while I was stationed there. The pilot had the tower going nuts because they couldn't see it. They had the tower radio patched into the PA system. Lots of security around it once they put it on static display.
+Shadow Rider Actually the U2 was developed in the 1950's by team Skunk Works team from Lockheed. Less stealth, more altitude for both and speed for the YF-12/SR-71. Regardless, all are pretty cool in terms of flight and accomplishment. The original flying wing (YB-49) was a disaster and killed the crew. The use of computers are now correcting the yaw problems in flight the original had.
+Dick Trump correct. Which is what caused the "Spirit of Missouri" B2 to crash shortly after takeoff from Guam.
The computer was contaminated by the moist, salt air from the ocean. When the plane took off, the computer sensed a stall, which the pilot tried to correct, but again, the computer over corrected and was not recoverable. Both pilots ejected safely.
Just an UFO
Superfighter!
So awesome
我不知何從角度看嚨摸。就是好棒。💟💟👍👍💟💟
I used to work with a guy who flew it when it was totally "black." Interesting stories.
Beautiful
I liked the nickname "The Hopeless Diamond."💎☺
First stealth
Responsible for many UFO sightings in the 90's.

This thing was so quiet for
I was stationed in Alaska, just before the first Gulf War, when this was announced ..
C'mon guys, this is just swamp gas.
Nice
Okay
+Shadow Rider whatever…
+Kurt Lusmays do your research, if you don't believe me.

ALL of which came BEFORE 1988.
+Shadow Rider Interestingly enough, the Wright Brothers didn't invent the airplane either. They just happened to beat the guy to the patent office. The Smithsonian didn't even recognize the Wright's as the inventors of the airplane till about two decades into the 20th century.

+Shadow Rider don't forget the Aerial Screw.
+John Rambo keep in mind…..Leonardo, being a genius AND living in the Renaissance Era, had nothing to do BUT to sit around thinking of things.
+Reo Cruz yet another creation of Leonardo's.
But the aerial screw was powered by hand cranks and pulleys of varying sizes.
NOT considered to be "powered flight"!!!

+John Rambo OH YEAH!!!!!!
He was amazing to say the least.
+Shadow Rider Thinking and trying to avoid the Bubonic Plague! 😀
+Danny Quizon and it worked out pretty well for him too.
👏
Put that bad boy to work oh ya

+Shadow Rider yeah whatever..
+Kurt Lusmays NO need to be sore. I was only educating.
Have a great day! 😃😃😃
Whatever
+Kurt Lusmays Are you sore?
Do you feel I hate you??
NOT AT ALL!!!!!
I don't know you enough to hate you. So don't feel sore.
Whatever asshole
+Kurt Lusmays LOL To funny
+Kurt Lusmays awwwwww.
Does somebody need a hug??????
Cause if you don't, you have a rather ODD way of making friends.
Check the facts.
You'll see that what I have said is true.
In other words:
If you're not prepared to offer evidence to support your claim, don't post something that you know very little (if any ) knowledge of.
Whatever
+Kurt Lusmays 💋💖 ya.
Bwahahahahaha
+Shadow Rider You did kind of come across as a know it all smart ass. You weren't a dick, just a bit of a smart guy cool guy.
Whatever
I love it
+John Rambo that comes from studying. And if I can study, so can others.
So there is no reason to go around appearing to be uneducated.
I have 0% tolerance for ignorant people. I can work with stupid ones.
+Shadow Rider I know a lot about planes also. Grew up around them. But I'm not going to out knowledge people on purpose.
+John Rambo was more about educating someone. Not "outknowledging" them.
If it came off as such, my apologies.
👍
