Riots in Oakland – Burning the Flag – Blocking a major freeway – What are people thinking?

I am not usually one to get involved or jump on the bandwagon of riots over things that at most should only be peaceful demonstrations. I have responded to these types of actions many times in the past 19 years I have been involved in law enforcement as a reserve (A reserve does not get paid for their service to the public – IE: A Volunteer Officer or Deputy). I have seen it from both sides and I will tell you this much, the instigators in these groups are not there for any cause other than themselves.

But after the stuff we have seen in the past two days in Oakland where outsiders once again take to the streets of oakland and cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage and lost business to "see justice" while burning the American flag I am sort of at my wits end with these types of people… so in discussing the issue this article came up which I find a very interesting read.. and at least in my opinion this guy deserves an award for stepping up and saying something…

Very interesting viewpoints. I am not really one to agree or disagree with his points but the overall article is a very new and different way to think about a clearly huge issue in society.

I guess part of me just hoped we were all past these kind of issues in society. But since we are not I ask why not?

Government corruption?
Lack of caring?
Lack of education?
Entitlement?
Just have nothing to do after work?
Lack of work?
Lack of laws that lock instigators up….

I have no issues with peaceful demonstrations, that is a right we all have in America.. but at some point people need to go to jail… it is why we all voted on the laws we have in our society.

You tell me…. is there a solution?

Black Racism Killed Trayvon … – article – Bond Action
Rachel Jeantel, the troubled young woman who was speaking on the phone to Trayvon Martin just before he was killed, testified in George Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial that Martin called Zimmerman a “creepy a– cracka” before their violent confrontation. I’ve been warning for the past 23 …

I don't think I will listen to a man who states that women should not vote.
"Women cannot handle power. It's not in them to handle power in the right way. […] I think that one of the greatest mistakes America made was to allow women the opportunity to vote. We should've never turned this over to women. […] It was a big mistake. […] And these women are voting in the wrong people. They're voting in people who are evil who agrees [sic] with them who're gonna take us down this pathway of destruction. And this probably was the reason they didn't allow women to vote when men were men. Because men in the good old days understood the nature of the woman. They were not afraid to deal with it. And they understood that, you let them take over, this is what would happen."
