I think it says something about society when these are the trending topics for today. Why is #caturday at all trending today? Is that a clear sign that people are that shallow and disconnected or is it simply the g+ algorithm trying to make today less painful.
Or maybe life doesn't stop? I'm watching college football and not news sources. It doesn't make me unaware or careless.
Caturday is always trending Saturday 🐱
And then there are those that don't read, watch or listen to the news so have no idea. My wife is a prime example as she only knew when I told Hera bout 2hrs ago.
Such is life.
So then we are at the point now where it is OK to be oblivious to everything but ones own existence…. I wish I could be that way.. Life would be so much easier…
My bigger concern is what if this just the start. What major city in the world is next. Is real has lived with this kind of action daily and so have other countries. Do we make a double standard when it's a European city and cry foul? These sort of cowardice has happened before and will happen again.
It has nothing to do with being oblivious to everything but ones own existence but there are circumstances where not everyone is going to know about everything immediately.
We have to be very careful we don't put our own misconceived expectations on others.
I don't think the question can be answered simply one way or the other… Maybe into a complex over saturated blend of chaos… Each person decides, no one is right nor wrong. A giant machine mixing of thoughts of comments & half naked news to get viral first… If anyone is on social media to offer up an opinion or a feeling about tragedy or the question at hand a comedic weekly trend… Then there in lies a deeper thought of much bigger issues, which may or may not be obvious …
YouTube is all ablaze with its false flag accusations. By Saturday morning I actually saw comments saying these were freaking actors in France. Out of freaking control.
