and the animation was fabulous.. but the story… it just wasn't what I expected it to be. Like someone else mentioned, the story line seemed too familiar and from the commercial clips I saw, I just didn't see the whole bear angle coming.
I thought it would be more… adventurous or something, or that the "brave" part would be more than it was…
My wife and 6 year old daughter walked out in the scene where her mother was attacked in bear form – I wasn't there but they never want to see it again. I will have to watch it secretly to form my opinion.
Why do producers of kids movies need to kill a parent to impart some sort of simplistic life lesson though ? I notice it a lot in children's movies. Starting a long time ago with Bambi. I would rather my children learn about it from pets, relatives, and so on. Anyways.
I guess it's a real heart stopper, +Cameron Siguenza … it kind of hits you "right there" but you are right.. often times it is a parent who dies… the mother doesn't actually die in this though 😉
I just don't think a movie that a family takes time and money to go to, to bring little kids (6-10 year old let's say) – needs to educate them in this way. Movies should be fun at first, let them learn how hard the world is later, hopefully with my counsel first 🙂
really? I was a bit disappointed in it….
Personally, I enjoyed it a lot, was laughing hysterically most of the movie. My kids thought it was only, OK, and that daddy has lost it
My wife and I really enjoyed it.
+Sandra Parlow really? why?
And I do not have kids.. but do like animated movies…
I love animated movies….

true enough, +Cameron Siguenza …. I understand what you are saying 😉
Anyways, the animation looks great in Brave 🙂 I am sure I will enjoy it!
Thanks for the recommendation Brent my wife's been wanting to see that one.
I loved watching Brave. She's a fiery wee lass.
