Google (Play) Music has my vote as I can have all my music available, but not have to store it all on my phones storage. The 20,000 song limit is way above my library.

Pandora, Spotify, Google Music (my favorite)

I have got to try Google Music soon.

For playing music MP3's I have stored on my phone or in the cloud I use Google Music. For streaming music and radio I use Pandora One, Spotify, and TuneIn Radio Pro. For podcasts I use Pocket Cast. For audio books I use Mortplayer Audio Books (for DRM free) and Audible (for the stuff I get from them directly).

It seems like a lot of apps, but I use my Android a lot for background entertainment when I work and travel, and each of those apps offers different features that I can't get elsewhere.

I really need to make a list of these like I did photo apps.. Keep them coming..

I use Google Music all day all music is in the cloud no need for storing on the phone. I also use sirius radio app as well as bbc radio app.

+Jim Sutton yeah Google Play is really nice cause no matter what device your music library is there. Just dump MP3s to a directory and voila they appear on your phone tablet or any PC you log into your music acct with.

Thanks, +Rae Williams. Sounds perfect. Can't wait to try it.

+Rae Williams BBC Radio One App?

  13. Lilies Indayati 26 Jul 2012 Reply

Real player. I wish I could use google music but streaming don't do well here.

  14. Rae Williams 26 Jul 2012 Reply

+Brent Burzycki yeah just search BBC. That's it. You can listen to radio one, extra, two etc. They are all there. To see what's being played prior to downloading check out BBC.co.UK/radioone. Super diverse amount of music from hour to hour

That Tunein Radio app that I mentioned will also let you listen to all of the BBC stations, as well as pretty much any other radio station in the world, police and fire radios, even podcasts (though I think the Pocket Cast player handles them a lot better). With the pro version you can also schedule recordings of your favorite radio shows for later playback.

+Lilies Indayati Real Player is still around….. wow – I remember that as having some issues back in the day…

PowerAmp is real nice if you use the on-device storage, but I don't use it much ever since Google Music came out. Now I just stream it all. If I want some music always available, I just pin it.

Anyone care about features and do any of these players boost volume output?

    Like an equalizer etc?

  19. Rae Williams 26 Jul 2012 Reply

    Yep that's it

  20. Rae Williams 26 Jul 2012 Reply

+Doc Black +1 to docs suggestion +Brent Burzycki didn't know TuneIn radio has BBC too. I am switching to that lol. Cleaner and updated more reg AND has access to regular us stations lol

  21. Al Steffen 26 Jul 2012 Reply

PowerAmp and Google Music have equalizers.

  22. Rae Williams 26 Jul 2012 Reply

You can install eq or vol boosters from play store for free too.

  23. Brent Burzycki 26 Jul 2012 Reply

+Al Steffen yep I like the one in Google Music… Curious if others out there are better… I find it interesting that my galaxy nexus has much higher output than my nexus 7

  24. Lilies Indayati 26 Jul 2012 Reply

Well I use it because I can use the camera while I'm listening to the music. My built in music player has equalizer 🙂

  25. Brent Burzycki 26 Jul 2012 Reply

    What headphones….

  26. Lilies Indayati 26 Jul 2012 Reply

    Sennheiser 🙂

  27. Brent Burzycki 26 Jul 2012 Reply

+Chris Burzycki I have not had any of those issues…. Is there set steps to reproduce the issue or is it random?
