+Brent Burzycki Been like that for ages. I thought it was because i already had lightroom when i subscribed to CC but just installed CC on a new computer and its the same. I manually update lightroom

That's excellent…. because there is nothing I like more than buggy software and installers.. when i pay good money for things to work properly…

Not sure why i am complaining thou as most everything is this way these days…

Played an xbox One game the other day – crashed 5 minutes into gameplay…

you would think someone would catch that…

Yes, but just with lightroom. The other adobe apps I have update as we'd expect.

Which is interesting… I too owned Lightroom separately in the past

I get the same, and I had LR before CC too – clicking 'install' seems to update things ok though

Strange part is it is not like I installed LR seperate first then cloud… Did it all from cloud… But not must think I still have seperate installs… Strange

Adobe's installer/ updater is a mess. Adobe has multiple definitions for "update". Sometimes it means overwrite the existing version with a new rev. other times it means leave you with two versions. Then, at still other times, it means erase OTHER software {i.e. non-cloud Lightroom} as if that is a favor to you, after promising you it would never go away.

And, there is no way to tell in advance which "definition" adobe is using for any given download 🙁

It will no longer allow me to manually update Lightroom – I had to reinstall through CC. And CC is so damned slow!

Just Lightroom. I just told CC to install it. It installed, and now I have 5.7. All the other apps were either updates, or already up to date.
