As in are new followers really shows in the daily count of circles etc?
Is sharing truly that you have been circled?
G+ likes to confuse me when I am tired and have been up till 3am the night before….
I think it does it on purpose…..
I think the one on top shows you the people who have recently added you, but you haven't. Their posts show in the Incoming stream.
The bottom one used to be out of date as far as the real count of followers you have. I think it is more accurate now.

It confuses me too – I've seen people there that I have circled back. Maybe that was just a glitch. But I think Stephanie is correct. Or at least that's how it's supposed to work.
+elizabeth hahn oh I know I have definately seen strange issues with notifications matching circle lists etc for someone I have just circled….. its like it needs to catch up or refresh …

On a related note, have you ever had the mobile notifications work? I used to only get them when I opened the app, then not at all. Today I got 1 (but only 1) for a post where you tagged me.
+elizabeth hahn yeh they have not been right lately…. I get some and not others… a few days I got no mentions…. I think part of it I use multiple platforms to access G+ – Ipad, phone and computer….
Maybe that's it. I usually leave the PC on, I did get a notification this time. Another odd thing is sometimes I can tag people other times not. I can only tag you from my pc. It doesn't even bring up your name on the phone. At least 2 other people their name comes up, but when I select them, their email gets posted.
+elizabeth hahn I have had many people I know I circled get uncircled also ..thats not good.. because they are totally missing from my circles – how I figure that out is only pure luck…
