Writing this on way to Mojave to join +Virgin Galactic, TSC & Scaled teams. Shocked & saddened by this tragic loss. All our thoughts are with the brave pilots & families affected by today's events. Space is hard – but worth it. We will persevere and move forward together http://virg.in/svg
Everything I've heard from +Richard Branson tells me that this is his dream and everything he's done up to this point has led to this. I can't imagine him backing down.
And yeah, space is hard. Very hard. Everything about it is poised to kill you if you make the slightest mistake, or dare underestimate it even a little. Even if you do everything right, the risks are still enormous.
But the gains are even more enormous, and for the sake of our future – or more appropriately our children's children's future, we must.
I cannot either and I can see him fully taking care of all involved and families etc…
+Olav Folland read The Martian by Andy weir…. That truly shows the issues with space and it's an awesome read…
+Brent Burzycki I'd work for him in a heartbeat if my skills were useful, etc.
I'm a Arthur C Clarke fan because even when he breaks from physics, it's generally fairly well-grounded theoretical physics but I'll check Andy out 🙂
