loved my bees but sadly I had to sell them during a renovation when they were just taking up space.

Nice thing about Alien Bees is that they don't lose their value. you don't see used bees much in Ontario so everyone just jumped at my post when I wanted them gone.

now I miss my bees 🙁

+J. Rae Chipera no problem…. I will drop a note to Alien Bees and see if they want to be involved with the group if you want… maybe a discount or give a way or something for circle members?

+James Merritt can always buy more.. I assume they will happily sell them to you – but I know what you mean as I rarely use more than one and have a couple just sitting in the closet….

+J. Rae Chipera http://www.group.as/alienbees+users/ – I see the group I think you need to request someone to be a currator to +Daniel Treadwell the owner of group.as

This group should fill up pretty fast….

+J. Rae Chipera, I have added both yourself and +Brent Burzycki as curators of the group. You need to sign in and verify your profile for it to display ownership.

Let me know if you have any further problems. Thanks for the mention +Brent Burzycki.

    +Daniel Treadwell Thanks Daniel….

+J. Rae Chipera click Sign In at the top of the screen in the black bar. Once you are signed in you will need to verify by putting 'group.as' somewhere in your profile. Then you simply click the verify button and it should be all good.

sadly as I am traveling I do not have any lights, but for years before with my studio did have and love ABs

+Serge Yurovsky time to pick up one light and a battery pack… 🙂 and a stand – and a modifier.. oh wait thats all a pain to travel with…..

+Brent Burzycki, I have priced and put together a travel kit – collapsible light stand, AB800 head (actually ABR-800 was also a consideration if moon unit collapsed better) a 36" octabox, and a new smaller vagabond. Issue was size, weight, portability and getting a large battery through security on various flights. As of August most airlines do not let you check in large batteries and vagabond may not qualify as a carry on. So, I carry a set of triggers (have used Cybersyncs for years, found something better, more strobist capable and a little cheaper) and rent lights (or borrow if possible) as needed.
