Any WordPress experts know how to battle the "white screen of death" on the main page / homepage of a wordpress site?
I have tried the delete all plugins, remove themes etc..
the default theme works but all premium themes will not work anymore..
When you say delete, did you actually remove the folders whith the plugins/themes through ftp?
Renamed it first… That got me access to the admin… But no go for the index page..
I don't concider myself an expert, but for me the solution when facing your problem has always been to totally delete the folders (containing the plugin(s) or theme(s)).
Will give bit a whirl… Thanks…
Do you have any custom code in your functions.php file? If there is an error in that file it could be causing the white page. It would also explain why your default theme works if it doesn't use the same custom code.
+Steve Taylor very possibly….. pretty sure I will need to retain that code thou… hmm..
You can probably keep the code that you need, but you just need to find where the error is. It may be that there is something as simple as a random character at the end if a line.
Solved… injected code… probably a plugin but killed the front page…
