also if you have a disability record the interview. getting sick of being turned down for a job because of needing to sit down yeah a chair is not to much to ask.
+Gareth Scott its one of thows things you have to prove it and its my word against theres when they can easly say oh he just was not a good fit. happens every day my good man.
+hardwirecars If your spelling and grammar is any indication of the state of your resume', then I'm pretty sure I can figure out why you have not found employment.
+hardwirecars If you recorded the interview, I wouldn't hire you unless you were pretty damn awesome otherwise you are really going to come across as more trouble than you are worth.
If someone showed up to an interview and asked to record it I would not hire them…
If the interviewee was honest and told me the issues they face I might opt to give them a chance…
But I do not care who the person is if they show up like 98 percent of the interviewees I have interviewed they will get turned down…
90 plus percent of the people I have interviewed over the past 20 years lie on their resume and then only show up to report they are trying to interview for jobs to continue to get unemployment payments…
I will get right on that….. Good to see one of my posts has finally gained me a hater that seems to change names and accounts just to try to insult me..
+Michael Fedo When you say Phoenix i assume you live in Phoenix AZ, in the US. If that's the case i dunno how far you are from Glendale Community College but they have an awesome career center with actual job postings from all over the greater phoenix area (by that i mean jobs that are actually hiring) and any upcoming job fairs in the area. if its too far then by all means check out the Goodwill career center which is equally as good for helping resume building and job searching. Both are completely free and open to the public (don't need to spend money or be part of the college), and GCC actually holds occasional workshops/seminars on resumes and the hiring process in general. (during open semester that is, next one being Sep. 3 @ 4pm) Bear in mind neither of these places are hiring agencies, so they don't place you in the job directly, but they do make the job searching and hiring process a whole lot easier.
+hardwirecars It's a really tricky one and I don't think I have an answer. On one hand you want to make sure you are treated fairly and have some sort of evidence if you weren't, on the other hand you don't want to come across as a 'lawsuit waiting to happen.'
As an interviewer I'd be (mainly) interested in 3 things: can this person do the job, can they do it better than the other people applying, will they fit in well with the existing team. But then I like to think I'm a fairly nice person and so wouldn't discriminate anyone for any other reason. How to catch out those who do is a challenge I'm afraid I don't have an answer to.
+MomoTheBellyDancer I would. Most HR personnel are nothing shy of trained gorillas, so these kind of mistakes are commonplace. Don't believe me? Try firing some of your HR employees and see how well they do in today's market. You'll be seeing them pretty soon at McDonald's.
Though it's ironic because they'd judge you for the same mistake if it was on your resume'.

+hardwirecars You're kidding. Any company would be in SERIOUS trouble for discrimination like that. The media'd have a field day.

If you have a disability, then you should be able to have official documentation from a medical professional.
Absolute shot in the dark here, but I'm looking for employment and have a great record. You hiring now?

+Michael Fedo do you know where they're located, or do you plan on doing the e-thing and work at home?

How the heck did a spam bot just get more likes on its comment than people who are making actual points here?

+Brent Burzycki sounds like an asshole. I don't waste time on assholes.
+MomoTheBellyDancer yep you have me all figured out….
+Brent Burzycki
Unfortunately that can't be said for the poor folks who have to deal with you at work. I pity them immensely.
Feel free to talk to all 19 of them… They can speak to how big an ahole I am….
+Brent Burzycki
Well, they don't have to, since you're doing a fine job all by yourself.
I do love when my posts have a troll or two – it makes the conversation much more interesting…
+Brent Burzycki
Yes, your posts have at least one troll: yourself.
I Second that
Are you still hiring?
