I doubt you'll see the JSF used by the Thunderbirds or the Blue Angels any time soon. There just aren't enough aircraft, and there aren't any pilots with flight hours to pull off the stuff they do.
Then, there's the question of flight performance, but I suspect that's a combination of lack of flight hours and overly-conservative software.
To be sure, and that's something I don't know about to give a real opinion on. Either way, we're going to have to start buying aircraft to replace the ones that are hitting airframe life.
It won't be long before we actually see this. I don't see them keeping 3 fighters once the F-35 rolls out.

Or, we could end up like the British Navy – they retired the last of their carriers a few years ago, and now they have a new one with insufficient crew, and no airplanes to put on them. 😛
