So what if one photo a day has turned into more like one photo when I can or have time …. Does Mars Time get me more hours in a day… What planetary time gives me the most hours in a day…
Oh well here is my shot for tonight… let me know what you think…
She looks great and the lighting and backdrop is cool too 🙂
Mars gives you about another hour, Venus would give you the most hours in a day though 🙂
+Eric Richards how did you like the NY photwalk with +Trey Ratcliff
+Carlos Urrutia holy crap is this true – If so I need a venus watch..
"1 day on venus is as long as one year on earth. No seriously, that is true, it takes about one year for venus to make a complete rotation (i dont mean revolution, but rotation like spinning a basket ball.)
One day on Venus is about 243 Earth days long. There are 24 earth hours in a day so 243 x 24=5832 hours."
She is certainly a sweet mix of innocence and naughtiness. Every time I look at the picture I find myself rolling my head to the side, which I guess means I am uncomfortable with the angle.
+Sam Breach hmm – I tend to just look at her butt and forget there is a background…..
It's not the background I am looking at either! I think I would prefer her standing upright, because I don't want to feel like her butt is about to fall over backwards on my face. I quite understand if this doesn't bother you, though 😉
+Sam Breach wait.. is that a bad thing….. honestly thou I am not even sure I like how I chopped off her legs…..
+Brent Burzycki it was pretty cool.. he set up shots and gave an explanation of what he was doing and let everyone peak through the viewfinder of his D800.. got to ask him some questions too.. nice guy and glad i got to meet him.
+Brent Burzycki I actually like the angle and the lines. Her hair plays with those lines in the background. i might have kept her leg through the back of the knee for another curve to match up to the bottom indentation of her butt. But that's me…:=)
+Eric Richards yep – he is more than forthcoming with what he does… I think many here (like life in general) do not actually go meet a person and then make assumptions.. it is interesting to see it here on G+ – some love a little too much.. others hate and or are jealous…
NY would be a great place for a photowalk… I was born out there and have not got back to ever shoot there..
+J. Rae Chipera good point… its funny this model is a bit older now and I sent here this and she said.. man I used to look good…. I think that was a compliment 🙂
+Cynthia Pyun the butt knee curve ratio.. I can see what you men there …. it would have added another cool curve into the shot….. see what I should have done was posed her next to some indy cars….
+Eric Richards Just a side note this shot was actually partially edited with one of Trey's new Lightroom presets… they are a really well done set of presets… and a great basis to work from…
Very attractive! Lovely composition!
If I may add my 2 cents, I find the background a big distraction, especially with the angle emphasizing it and in sharp focus, it is competing with the model for attention, and winning. I find the pose is very stiff, and her hands and arm position really take away her femininity, no S curves, what is she doing with her hands?? she is playing with a belt that looks like the background stripes. I also feel it is over exposed, as there is next to no detail in her white top. I hope that I didn't spend much more than my 2 cents would allow, but this is what I see in this photo. I posted this in good faith, hoping the author accepts my comment as "constructive" as that is what I intended. I hope that I didn't come on too strong and that nobody is offended.
+jerry robin that's the kind of info I want from people…. The truth as they see it…
i must lick her ass and her feet
I will make sure to pass that along……
+Brent Burzycki Thanks, that's the way we all learn. I often tell my photo students, if I wanted a perfect score when I was just starting out, I would ask my Grandmother. If I wanted the truth, I would ask my wife!! ;D))
BTW< what do you feel about my points??
+jerry robin I am not sure I agree with all of them but I can see how you have those issues… The background is is very distracting but I think it ads interest… But then it is taking away something from the model but in think it also adds something to make people look again.. I have this strange theory that if you can make a thumbnail on the web pop then it will get more interest and views… Especially when sharing on something like a mobile etc… So there is more pop on this and it looks more interesting smaller…. But I will also admit it is a good looking girl and that helps also…..
I am missing several basics like all the curves maybe not the perfect pose etc but I think some of that might tell the story of a newer model or possibly the interesting naughtiness this shot seems to have…. When I shot this years ago it was more about a crazy background and this model is a friend and I was lucky enough to get her to pose and just have some fun….
Part of me has been trying more images with less thought behind them vs.. Well thought out images with more story and I am watching the outcome of each to see what happens…
What photography subjects are you teaching
I do like the background, but then I'm looking on a cell phone, so maybe your strategy is working, Brent. But I do agree her legs are cropped at an awkward spot.
On the geek side, Mercury time could be interesting, while a day is 55-ish earth days, a year is 77-ish days. (numbers are approximate, my memory isn't as good as it once was). Also at certain times, the sun goes backwards.
pretty picture
