I just cannot keep up with technology anymore.
I use Windows Live Mesh everyday and it works really good for a free service. I sync many folders and thousands of files.

I would assume this is Microsofts way of killing Live Mesh… Time to try it out…

Honestly, they have been killing live mesh for years. I loved it… but have switched completely over to dropbox. You can get it here: http://db.tt/YWDUwWv. I have it sync to my laptop, PC, work laptop, iPad, iPod, and Android phone. Plus, it is all saved on the web, and you can link/share each file. MS has kind of killed off mesh for me. I have skydrive, but still much prefer dropbox.
+Kevin Rank have to say I dislike Dropbox and their security model. Not that any are great, but everyone is going to the folder share model it seems….
What do you mean, folder share? You can share individual files. I know at one time, you could share a folder. But, they changed it to a per-file basis. Can you explain better the model you are looking for?
+Kevin Rank no as in all are moving to using a client side folder access model – Skydrive, google drive, dropbox… app running in the taskbar.
I do not need ot share individual files with anyone other than me… – so really google drive, skydrive, live mesh are best for me… I am just not a supporter of dropbox and their encryption model.
