Must stop only talking about finding time to shoot and set up some more shoots… Thats the issue with having a full time job that is not photography.. it tends to eat up all free time..

+Brent Burzycki as always you do really good work.  I had to laugh about your statement about having a job that is not photography keeping you from doing photography.  I make that statement all the time that I never get to take pictures because I am so busy being a photographer.

I really have to make an effort to shoot what I want to shoot and to do that I have to often turn down photography work.

I am not sure but I would bet that most other pro photogs, ( not by skill but by vocation) have the same issue.

Thanks again for a terrific picture.

+james bruce oh sadly I know both sides of this with many pro level friends that I have worked with.. its actually really work and then the other work is actually real work and then balancing work with work to still enjoy the hobby feel is never easy…

I have several pro (as in work all the time) photographer friends that will not even take a (snapshot) for many reasons..

I think on the hobby side for me its just hard to give the dedication and devotion to a specific shoot the time I really want to give it so in the end I get photos but I know I can do better…

That just becomes more frustrating than anything.. setting a budget – MUA etc.. doing all the setup etc.. thats like real work – and why I tend to gravitate to models that just want to come over and shoot.. spur of the moment and we get what we get..

But there I go creating my own frustration..

Time for a real shoot with some actual planning to see what happens this year..

I have a good friend who says to me often, I wonder what you could do with the time to do it.

Go take time to do something really great.  I know you can!

I just find an approx 100 year life time way too short for many things..

+Brent Burzycki I feel your pain on the full time job and how it eats up the free time we have. Love the post and the photo!

Thanks +AJ White I think it is an issue we all deal with… Time… Friends.. Family.. Work… Balance… Imbalance.. Etc..

+Brent Burzycki At time it seems more like an imbalance than anything else. But we can never give up the thing we love to do and that possibly keeps us sane in the land of infernal bombardment of work and obligatory obligations.
