Even worse than I thought/hoped it would be. ugh.
+Karen Hutton yep – the sad part is all the anti air show posts I have seen……
I just now saw a few… sigh. Such is life in free world universe.
+Brent Burzycki going all anti-airshow after a mishap is absurd. Do any of those commenters know how many "accidents" happen during NASCAR events? Ridiculous.
+Enrique Gutierrez Just go here – and check out all the haters… its amazing…. I love it when people speak out their lower orifice.. https://plus.google.com/111091089527727420853/posts/AuobS9tp9pk
+Brent Burzycki hate to say, but the source of the post says it all. as much as I appreciate Robert's posts, he draws an LCD comment base, very often
+Enrique Gutierrez oh yes the cream of the crap…….. It's ok I like pointing out to some true idiots they are idiots based on information in their own profiles 🙂
I worked at an airshow many years ago in Watsonville, Ca. The pilots and organizers paid a lot of attention to safety – both in the maintenance of the planes, keeping people a safe distance from the runways, etc. Everyone loved their planes. I feel for the family and friends of those killed and injured.
+elizabeth hahn yes they are all safety first people… life is dangerous… all i ask is we are allowed to make our own choices…. if we lose that ability…. that would truly suck to live in a danger free world…
+Brent Burzycki you're wrong. Anyone who does anything I don't like should be stopped. Forcefully.
dang. Almost made it all the way through typing that with a straight face.
Yes it would. There is some level of danger in nearly everything people do. But it's only the accidents that get reported, and unfortunately since this was caught on tape it's more memorable than just text.
+elizabeth hahn i once saw a fatal car accident that was recorded, it was horrible. I think we should outlaw driving and airshows.
(snark aside)
I wanted to be a fighter pilot my whole young life, but ended up being a computer nerd instead. I've always enjoyed watching airshows, and love the miracle of human flight. Flight is both as beautiful as it is dangerous and should always be celebrated as such, and this day and others like it should always be remembered by those attending to be safe when enjoying one of man's greatest achievements.
Fighter pilot to nerd? 🙂 ok I can't laugh, I always wanted to be an astronaut. Flight is amazing, both in technical achievement and how it has made the world a smaller place. Yes there is a danger factor that needs to be respected. Especially by me, I fall UP stairs.
+Doug Brewer you had me for a second there… 🙂
+Doug Wittrock paramedic ….. I work as a Reserve Cop – about 15 years plus ago I witnessed a low flying plane – no prop moving – we called it in (what a mess that was trying to explain) (Yes dispatch its a plane – its crashing – No really.. I said crashing) we followed it down it hit the 9th fairway and flopped onto the main road – everyone got out and was ok….
I have to say I know a ton of pilots – been going to airshows all my life… and everyone I have eveey talked too is safety first… even the crazy stunt piolets.. actually they are even more safety first….
Red Bull air races is a great example…. been going for years… only one major crash… and he is still fine… huge safety concerns… best air racing I have ever seen…
But when you can fly like this – there are risks…

I know a few people who went…I'm glad they are all right.
+jeremy wilson yep – up to 11 dead now…. its a shame… yet I take my life in my own hands each and every day of the week……
