Ok this is very interesting for how the Press likes to well twist the facts or just does not understand the facts on population density.. also this is just cool cartography…
Maps you saw last night and what they should actually look like based on population density in the US….

I love data and especially big data and how it can be used or abused… this is an interesting way of showing the results…

What is interesting about this as well is that — since it is based on population density — it also shows how so much of the urban population is dependent on the agricultural production of the less populated areas. It would be good to see a graphic using the metric of how much food was produced in states, for example. Or how much energy was produced from natural resources. The dense urban areas of the country, which tend to be 'blue states' because of the concentration of population and reliance on social services, are very dependent on the less populated 'red states' for basic survival !
Answers come from data like this… clearly few look at it… or they look and just see what they want to see that furthers their specific agenda.. which is sad in our country that feels entitled to everything ….
I really liked using the google map because you could view down to the counties which honestly seemed better than looking at the whole map. It was surprising to see as much red as I did in Oregon and California.
