+Dante Duphorne 365hp. Sweeeeet. My Acura 3.2 TL Type-S tops out at about 260, and it will glue you to the seat on highway merging. I'd love to have 365hp, but then again, my fuel costs are high enough, especially when I am impressing someone in my car for the weekend. 🙂
Yeh we have a demo New Police Caprice – and we will get one of these also… we install, sell and rep one of the largest lighting manufacturers in the world.. so this stuff is actually exciting to us…
We have done and experimented with voice control also..
+Joe Ohio it actually gets pretty good gas mileage with the turbos and only being a V-6. If I wasn't continually flooring it, it would get even better! 😉 btw 0-60 is 5.0. Beautiful images +Brent Burzycki wish I had all those lights.
Anyone else on this thread a cop, and getting these? We looked at some, but I have no idea if our department will buy any. We have seven helicopters, but some cars we have over 100,000 miles on them. 🙂
Todd, I was doing some image searches for the ford XB GT interceptor that was used in Mad Max because, yes, I was bagging out ford to my Daughter. I admit, it was wrong, but I was stirring her about her Falcon XR6 which is about a year old. Yeah FPV is a nice beasty. My search a changed to Camaros in the memory of bumble bee. Well I wish I had a spare AU $140,000.00. Even then it probably wouldn't a FPV down the qtr mile.
+Joe Ohio I work as a reserve and our dept will be testing these, and the caprice and the dodge… I would assume we will end up with these for many reasons – mainly maint. and the ability to swap parts with the utility version….
Many other departments are waiting for these cars to release…
The police market right now has the most options for cops..
I love the new Taurus, and with the Eco-boost engine these things fly, the great thing is the twin turbo setup increases fuel economy by around 15% while increasing HP by about 100.
+Jim Davis I have to say I never thought the words Taurus and cool or good looking would be used in the same sentence but that's why I won some ford stock.. I like where the company is headed…
The old Taurus was always the moment I would groan at the Rental car lot outside some random, busy airport and go "oh no…, but be thankful it wasn't some bad minivan" not a great style. 🙂
+Cameron Siguenza I have been there.. thou i have to say a friend in high school had one and we were the coolest thing in the world in that car…. well in our own minds…
Well, I didn't even have a car in high school 🙂 – I would borrow my dad's Diesel 4×4 Land cruiser sometime, but dreamed of my own car. Right after highschool I bought a 57 chev bel aire from an old farmer, then sold it a few years later to help pay for university, then had a Datsun 210 and 510 🙂 $300 cars… then after school was over my vehicles improved.
What is it? Model?
I think im gonna join the police force…..lol
Sexy, yes, but oh, so stealthy…
the grill lights remind me of KITT from Knight Rider
霹雳游侠的车?
I think it looks more like a Ford Focus. I like it.
Its the new Ford Police Interceptor… it replaces the Crown Victoria…..
All Wheel Drive – twin turbo – V6 – Economy and power….
http://www.ford.com/fordpoliceinterceptor/
Sadly the production unit does not have the above brakes, rims and tire combo…..
Still a very nice police platform…
Still would prefer these aussie beasts http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/f6/overview (turbo 6) and http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/gt/overview.aspx (supercharged v8)
Like the look except have to agree with. +Marc Jansen stealthy. I like when I can see a cop a mile away 🙂
+Brent Burzycki and anyone else interested in High Speed interception should be checking #Autobahn bmw in the search bar. Have fun.
On second thought – that does look like a Taurus build, I had heard early reports it was Focus based, but I stand corrected 🙂
Indeed, it looks to be the Ford Taurus Interceptor.
It is based on the SHO Taurus. I have a 2010. 365hp, 350fp torque and it's twin-turbo and AWD. 🙂 Very cool as police car.
It is a very nice car. We need more machines with muscle in Australia.
James… http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-range/f6/overview (turbo 6) and http://www.fpv.com.au/fpv-

That makes it even more Knight Rider…..

And there is a concept from Carbon Motors but that project seems stalled..
The Police Interceptor utility looks the money.
looks very stealthy and well done, I would run it…
+Chris Burzycki just ship one of these to me… fully loaded please…
Bad ass, like the ones you did for "The Island"
+William Shockley sadly we did not do this one… but the company did send equipment for all those movie cars… heck i want this one for myself…
+Chris Burzycki no as in send me one for free please….

sweet looking car.

Yes, I never liked the old Taurus but this one is a winner. Ford stock… I have some as well, just wish I would of bought it when it was around $1 😉
The old Taurus was always the moment I would groan at the Rental car lot outside some random, busy airport and go "oh no…, but be thankful it wasn't some bad minivan" not a great style. 🙂
+Jim Davis Yes I know since I bought it when it was at 10 🙁

+Cameron Siguenza My first car was a 1976 check stepside pickup… it was terrible and i still have it in my garage….
