I am sorry – Apple I really did used to like your stuff – Yesterday I tried to Update to IOS7 – 45min to download and installed with multiple ipod restarts – then I go to leave today to hit the road and though all the podcasts are in the podcast app, none of them will play with a error of Failed Playback and no way to fix the issue. Go online to find this issue is widespread and the only way to possibly fix it is to fully wipe the ipod or unsubscribe for all podcasts, erase all podcasts, remove the app – re-install the app, find all the podcasts you used to listen too, resubscribe to them all and re-download them all..
If that statement above does not say broken, I am no sure what does… On the other hand I updated my Android device the other day with a full system update and it took 6 minutes with one restart and it actually added features and my old stuff actually still works… Hmmm.. maybe a bit less design focus and fix core issues before rollout would be a good plan vs. what colors are prettier…I will probably just throw this ipod 5 in the lake and just use my phone from now on… the battery might be dead at noon but at least it worked all day today..
If you didn't learn before, you definitely learned today…
Let other people "test" new releases for at least a month before updating.
Sorry you had to go through that, man.
I am not sure why so many people put up with it.. if I released a product that failed on so many levels from my business I would not be in business… I am not sure if people are just blind, possibly just do not care? or think this is the normal experience..
Most non tech savvy I know would not even know how to resolve the issues I had…
I don't like to jump on bandwagons, but I'm definitely now forced to admit that Steve Jobs would not have allowed such slip-ups. Just saying…
I probably agree with that… but just saying – either would I and I am way cheaper..
