+Daniel Sachs these are not the droids you are looking for…
But yes… that mess came out of my carpet…. and that is after normal vacuuming weekly for 6 years with a top of the line Dyson…
I will not lie that when you get a new anything you tend to try to make it look good and justify the purchase – but this was just from one run around the house…
After thinking the last time I cleaned it was actually clean.
This carpet is also in the break down stage in its life – where you just seem to have more dust all of the time.. there is clearly less dust now…
That is… just amazing. Just imagine that you have been breathing this all the time. Have no idea how much this beast costs you, but it's well forth the price even after this first single run.
Do not get me wrong in using it it does have some issues… In normal vacuum mode (as this unit is a lift away meaning you can hold the cannister seperate from the stick vacuum) it can be slightly awkward.
The cleaning head is narrow.. It's good and bad… Great because it gets just about anywhere… Not as great as the Vac when standing can be a bit tippy.
There is only room for two accessories on the Vac.. It really should be 3…..
But other than that it really is a nicely made unit…
In lift away mode the suction head brush motors are so powerful that it feels like it is trying to pull out of your hand…. Not a bad thing just impressive.
There is a interesting amount of static build up when vacuuming.. Especially the first use…. I assume the is from the cyclonic action with heavy dust rubbing against the plastic housing…
I do not think anyone would dislike the unit unless you really just want a stand up only vacuum.
This one in lift away mode can get under and around just about anything and that is really why I opted for this one…
Dyson – better at marketing than product development. It doesn't do well at all in Consumer Reports testing. Surprisingly, most of their recommendations are Kenmore, which is what I ended up buying. Less expensive, works better, and smells like unicorn farts.
What the hell is this? Did this Wookiee came out of your carpet?

Not awful in price compared to others… Lifetime warranty…
Well, gee, Brent, after hearing and seeing that epistle to the capabilities of your new vacuum, I think I'm getting a Shark too.
We bought a Shark vacuum at Target a couple of years ago and have been endlessly impressed at its effectiveness, especially for its size!

What do unicorn farts smell like…
You have to go to Sears to find out.
