GEMINID METEOR SHOWER: Earth is entering a stream of debris from "rock comet" 3200 Phaethon, source of the annual Geminid meteor shower. Last night, NASA cameras recorded more than a dozen fireballs over the USA. Geminid activity should remain relatively high for the next three or four nights, with a peak expected on Dec. 13-14.
