No Space Event support Also
Trying to get the rules for at No Cost to the Government
Any with a clue as to the rules to pay offset of costs to NASA Centers or
NASA HQ. Air Force Space Command info would be welcomed too.
this is not a good way to cut spending… they need to cut things that are not actually important…and in the long run this and these types of events are cheap… wasteful spending in other countries and 5000 other items should be cut first..then if we needed to cut these public events I am fine. but this kind of cut is only so the people that waste money daily can continue to fill their own pockets and keep their jobs..
Many of the military fly covers in air shows are used as training exercises in some capacity. Even if nothing else, just to give the pilots some flight time. How can they stay in a ready shape if they don't have cockpit time?
It kills me that the government hands out free phones and other forms of welfare to many who choose not to work, and then decide to cut other areas instead of looking for those defrauding the system.
Sucks – the Blue Angels were supposed to be at the Oregon Airshow in late July. Have tickets already, but I'll go anyway, I love planes.
Well definitely still go to support local air shows.. But for many shows the blues and Thunderbirds are the backbone to the industry of air shows…
Yes, for me, it's much better when the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds are there.
Good news. Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay for these shows. Another corporate handout.
+Brent Burzycki This is some BRAVO SIERRA – straight up….
I cannot disagree more +Jim Fawcette but I assume that's what you are going forthwith the comment..
Meant it. Cutting food for poor children and cancer care for poor seniors, while spending tax dollars on flying at commercial shows and baseball games is simply wrong. Not to mention taxpayer subsidies to NASCAR.
Cut the air shows but you get a pay raise "AGAIN". Once again our congress and its FUZZY MATH. this sickens me even more now that I am a vet. It was pretty bad while I was active duty, this is getting or should I say past the point of just plain stupidity. Congress is more concerned about things that don't matter rather than taking a pay cut in order to keep our brother and sisters in uniform employed and protecting our country. Get off your asses and agree on something for once in your damn life rather than disagree. Plus stop paying for hotel suites for the vp and throwing parties. We elected you so do your damn job and serve the people that got you elected.
Amen +AJ White !
Ya know to me the sad thing is… They are cutting food for poor children and cancer care for poor seniors and yes spending tax dollars on flying at commercial shows ect. But ya know what is really messed up… Even though they have now cut Blue Angels we still not going to see one red cent change in what we have to pay in the all mighty tax pay off…. I have to agree with +Brent Burzycki. Also, In cutting the Blue Angels its not going to make one red cent difference in what our tax dollars are going for not one extra poor child is going to get more food, not one extra cent for cancer care. Not one second can any one convince that it would. Now we have lost something that I would consider a tradition in these shows. I also really enjoyed seeing what our tax dollars was going for in training our boys in service. To me this is sad sad news. Its just another loss all the way around in every thing from top to bottom on what our money is being spent on. In my humble opinion my thinking on all of this over the past few years is this.
'We The People" are losing more and more control from what "our" government is suppose to be "By The People"
Oh and PS: +AJ White I could not have said it any better my self. And Sir, My family and I thank you for your service. It is greatly appreciated.

+Rich Thoma sorry did I miss something in missing something
+Chris Queen Thank you for supporting us! Now it's my turn to support my brothers and sisters.
Why should this bother us – last night the president was entertaining friends at the White house – I am sure it was a cheap event…
I think if i was president the first thing I would do is not take a salary since everything is already paid for and second I would cut to bear minimum all activity that was in excess… Then I would trickle down that policy across all government…. and by trickle down I mean with a sledgehammer….
We are so broken in so many ways here and nobody seems to care… except the people that have no ability to fix it or the majority of the public that is too stupid to understand how broken or what broken even means…
It is a horrible state of affairs…
