From what I can tell I now have 3 Versions of Photoshop – Two Lightroom 5's – 2 Indesign's (one that will no longer update) and 3 versions of Dreamweaver?
Was this not an update of older apps?
Seems like a huge mess now to me and we will not even go into how it seems to have broken all of my plugins and did not carry over settings …
Hmm
+Adobe there must have been a better way?
Don't tel me that! I just updated my LR5. I'm not going to touch PS until I see more. Thanks for the heads up +Brent Burzycki
instead of updating their current apps, they added new versions of them instead. and with no option to remove/uninstall the old ones from within the CC app. #sigh
Well this makes even less sense as I Uninstalled the old versions long ago.. So I assume those should not even be showing up as they are not installed…
And that does not help me understand why there are 2 light room 5s that appear to be the same..
This is very broken…
Have not done my Windows 8 desktop yet.
On windows 7 Laptop had two LR5 but one disappeared after the updated. Done PS and now have the two version. I got the plug-ins to work by copying the folder over. Only had adobe paper texture pro extension and i can't get that to install with the new PS
+Andrew Endean copy what folder… Plug-ins? From where to where… One version to the other?
+Brent Burzycki i followed this post by +Glyn Dewis but just did it for windows.

Thanks…
+Brent Burzycki I currently have the CC "2013" installed and I'm actually not planning to upgrade to the new version yet. I'll be waiting to see if adobe changes the way they handle this update because it doesn't make much sense to have After Effects CS5, CC 13 & CC 14 installed on the same computer.
The only reason I can think of for doing this is for plugins compatibility, but then.. I would have hoped Adobe is smart enough to find a way to update without effecting that.
I uninstalled everything, then installed just the new CC Apps…
When this whole "CC" thing started I asked myself the following question: "Will I ever learn CS6 or LR5 well enough to become certified in them?" When the answer was clearly "no" it was enough to tell me "CC" would be a waste of time and money. Now I see I saved myself new hassles as well! 🙂
I know I have become a certified crazy person dealing with Adobe in the past two years… But when there are not options… That do not well suck.. It's hard to leave..
