well trying to based on my neck feeling like its going to tear my head clean off…. got to love chronic neck pain…I am sure it has nothing to do with stress, 3 jobs, crummy posture and sitting at computers all day.. 🙂
Critiques Welcome
I think not sitting at all might be my next solution…
The high key effect is very nice. I also like the dropped strap, sensual without being over the top. I am not positive that the angle works, and IMHO the gloves distract from the classic nature of the image. I might also have had her eyes open just a bit. It looks a bit like a missed shot. /end crit. 🙂
I love this! Obviously, this is an intimate shot – on two levels. Obviously the way she's dressed… but she's also in her own little world in this one moment. It's like she's saying something I can't quite hear. This particular crop puts us outside of it – standing back. I can see making this a whole different 'moment' with a crop that's close to as-is at the top and comes in under her fingertips. It could do something interesting.
I agree that it's a wonderfully beautiful and soft image. A bit tighter crop up from the bottom might just make a nice enhancement to the composition, IMHO.
This is really lovely. Well done!

Thanks for the comments…. I would have chimed in sooner but seems like my body is saying sleep instead of G+ lately….
I might take those crop suggestions and see what I end up with…..thats the beauty of Lightroom and making copies of images… you can try all sorts of stuff easily…
Sleeeeeeep is always a good thing. Art can happen later!
+Karen Hutton I think I could write a book on how to try to live with chronic gut and neck issues….. it is amazing how pushing yourself day after day can lead to the need for a month off…. I think I am about there.. 🙂
Those have been my two challenging spots too, so I can sure relate! The word from down the road: It can get better… but it takes some life adjustments. A month off would be a mighty fine start!
+Karen Hutton I have pretty much decided whatever it takes.. now the part of figuring out whatever it takes…… only been dealing with it for about 15 years… so now its time to really push other things aside and get to the fixing.. or at least reducing…..
Oh man, I've so been there AND done that. It's one of those things you just have to deal with at some point. I wish I could help! Happy to share anything I've learned along the way…
Fell free to share any incites…. I can give more details… but can just shoot you a message… my friend the ice pack sisters are calling………
Yep, send me a message… and say hello to the ice pack sisters. I know them well…
I caught myself turning my head to look at it so for me the angle might be adjusted. That's the beauty of our art however because shortly there will be someone else that loves the angle. Love the intimacy that is captured here however.
really fresh image! I think the one toneness (please tell me that is a word!!! lol) works really well, seems "private" but not weird. could see it on a billboard with a one word stylish caption next to it, or in W magazine..
+Landon Dacus thanks… I think you just created a word that I will need to be using…..
+Steve Hale it is interesting that we can produce so many different variations of the same image in many cases and please totally different sub sets of people…I think thats why I like to experiment so much and just post the experiments… to see the reaction… good or bad it's helpful to know…
this is a nice refreshing portrait, something a little different and not so much in our face. I like it
+Simon Kitcher thanks .. I have been looking into trying (and I do say trying) to show a bit more emotion in my images … to hint at sexuality without showing so much……
Sadly images like this never seem to sell, yet they look good for the portfolio….
