So when you go to a workshop but help and observe and not technically shoot you do what you can to try to get something before the end of the day… I needed something to post here…..
1600ish ISO under the lights we were using… IE – these were modeling lights…well and then we had an argument I could not shoot handheld at 1600 – which seems to be the case because its slightly out of focus… well I think it's actually a bad lens… we will see….
Nothing like being without a camera and lens for about a month…

That is how high I had to go since the light was very low and I was using a long focal length. I thought the images would be trash but I liked the way they came out. I like yours here as well,the soft focus gives it almost a dreamy effect.

That's a solid image, I quite like it. The light is very moody. I'm not sure you missed handholding, I think maybe you missed focus on your depth of field, her hips seem to be quite sharp. Or perhaps she moved her head/upper body a bit?
+J. Rae Chipera +Jeff Closs thanks…. this lens has been strange lately… it has to have something strange out of sync … it was one of the very first 70/200afs VR G lenses – I think it needs to be calibrated or repaired….. or I do…
