+Frederick Van Johnson explorer sport with the ecoboost… It's pretty dang nice… And honestly after seeing your vehicle it made this one much less painful…. Well and free was less painful also.. and it matches all the new CHP vehicles.. So I can blend in. 🙂 do you have applink I yours?
+Darren Krusi Its all microsoft based tech – so it works with all mobile devices that are not too old.. as for specifically with Google now, not so much… but the nav system has traffic POI, fuel costs, then there is a Ford Services button for turn by turn on top of nav and that also does news and updates etc.. and then there is – well the manual is 580pages it has way too much overlapping stuff.. I am sure to drive off the road playing with everything..
Now for the real fun – stripping out the rear 3rd row seat and fabricating a full command and storage center that allows me to transport securely not only all my work gear but accidentally a location for camera gear..
I do not ever see taking 8 people in this thing – so lose the 3 in the back and or maybe its only 2 and gain a ton of space..
We build command and storage units similiar to these:
And do custom vehicle upfitting for police and fire.. so this is a demo vehicle and my personal ride… we have constructed many of the Fire and Police command trucks in Northern CA…
Just think off the pst when we joke What if MS made a car..? Now it real and they use FORD.. Another one of those names made classic jokes about. Sorry I will stick with My Subaru..
Someone i know hack a Linux OS into theirs so noting is imposable if the Chip set will work with the OS.. lol Waiting to hear of a Ford doing a BSOD ..It just a matter of time I feel..
Yes +Frederick Van Johnson especially if you have the first version of my ford touch.. As the update changes quite a bit of stuff… Sync my ride . Com has all the details.. But you need to setup an acct..
I got the Esape and I think I will have to resort to the class at the dealership to figure everything out. One thing is totally true, the Eco boost engine is not joke. really punchy!
It's not that bad to figure out the options… +james bruce I would just spend some quality alone time with it… And not be afraid to ask for verbal help as it does a pretty good job with explaining…
+Scott Bourne it's no new F type.. But it's pretty nice… 🙂
Ford has definitely set the bar for tech in vehicles… Especially across their product line from the focus all the way up for anywhere from free to about 4600 bucks… Making tech more available to all..
+james bruce in the first two days I just sat down and read all the manuals.. All 500 pages.. Amazing what you can find out from a manual… Then sat in the car and pressed all the buttons for about 2hrs….i was pretty comfortable after that… I just rather spend that time messing around while sitting so then I do not mess around while driving when I need it…
What's that? Edge?

Applink?
It's a feature in the latest my ford touch update… Links to phone apps that support it via voice…
Does it work with Google Now? I expect it to work with iPhone already
Congrats
