Some have asked for me to post the stages of some of the images I post.. well here is the dirty secret of many of us.. We start with a shot that is not optimal, and then create from there using any excuse in the book to make some pretty nice in the end

I usually use – "Never enough time" "oops my settings were wrong" "I can fix it later" or my favorite – "that's why I shoot in RAW"

The honest answer is I should take more time perfecting my skills on the front end to end up with a more polished back end….

This one might need to go on my office wall at work…
