I haven't seen this update either and I'm on a new stock Nexus 4.
Not mobile… Chrome browser…
One thing I DO NOT LIKE is that the 'view all' – which took you to a notifications stream – is gone. That was my stalwart – the window didn't collapse halfway through a response 😛

Hey +Olav Folland did you notice that the notifications will scroll down and populate older notifications.
I did, which is cool. I haven't figured out if the old 24-hour time warp still exists though.
I used to hit the "all notifications" and ignore the main stream until I'd dealt with that in the morning though. I'm going to miss that. A lot.
I just want to be able to know I see all private messages… Guess then only way to do that is to convince other users to message via hangouts…
