See the ad piece below for some work done with two of them.. it is very impressive results from what most would call a low end strobe.. it clearly is very high end with a lower end price point.. just what I am looking for..
We will see how it works out …

Everytime I see that ad I am amazed at the images.
I am taking two Einsteins with me to Burning Man this year. I hope they survive the dust.
+Paul Hurley now talk about a test…. I would be curious if they make it… well if any strobe would make it.. if I went I would bring my old school Metz wedding strobe…

Got my eye on the e640 as well. The only gripe would be reading the LCD in full sun.
That's an interesting issue.. One I never think about since I paid it with the cyber commander and have the control on my camera..
Yeah I've heard the new cyber commander has the same problem. I'm sure simply using your hand to shade it like the LCD on the camera would work perfectly well.
If you use pocket wizards and get the mc2 devices for each you can control power of each flash using the ac2 device. Been playing with that set up and it seems to work pretty well. No need to look at the lcds. Took some research to get everything set right but not too hard.
+Paul Hurley its ok the cybercommander is like a experiment in nuclear physics in some cases also…
+Brent Burzycki – I hear the E640s in "studio mode" change all of that 🙂 No more nuclear physics!
thank god….. this and their interesting PLM will make for an interesting upcoming shoot.. interesting as in I will have no idea how to use anything…..
Try putting the PLM right behind you and increase the exposure by one stop 🙂 Good glamor lighting recipe.
I will be trying that.. not sure the one I have. but going to try a bunch of different stuff – and then bribe the model with m&m's to make sure she is happy with all my screwing around..
You can always use an assistant as a stand-in, or practice on dogs/cats beforehand 😀
what fun is that…
