It seems another player is going to try to make its mark..

Red Giant has brought us some very well done image editing solutions, now going to throw its hand into the management side. It will be interesting to see what they bring to the table and how it might integrate into a workflow.

I think this is more for filmmakers but I suppose it would for stills just as well. I think this will be a killer solution considering they've made a vast improvement to Pluraleyes since purchasing it from those other folks. This will be like Lightroom or Bridge for filmmakers. I can't wait!

+James Gass great point.. it is very possible I read that entire thing as stills when it is really all for "footage" – good catch…

if this is the case – this might be even more interesting for some…especially those of us that have no real video work flow…

  3. I would love to get +Doug Kaye's opinion on this as a viable tool for Photographers. 🙂

+Frederick Van Johnson & +Brent Burzycki: As +James Gass wrote, Red Giant's tools are for video. Their tools are quite good a getting better. (Disclaimer: I have a business relationship with Red Giant who owns the technology that underlies the Levelator, which we distribute at The Conversations Network.)

It could, however, be a useful tool for photographers getting into shooting DSLR video. It may offer a semi-familiar workflow much like using Lightroom for stills. That still depends on how Bullet Proof will integrate with NLEs like FCPX, Premiere Pro, etc..

+Doug Kaye you are behind levalator? I never knew that… thats a great little application…

So the question is – even thou its for video – is it truly for DSLR video…and workflow..
